Caribbean International Chinese Education Community project
Under the background of globalization, in order to strengthen the popularization and development of Chinese language education in the Caribbean, and to promote mutual understanding and friendly exchanges between China and the Caribbean, the Confucius Institute of Antigua and Barbuda, under the careful guidance of the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, the Chinese International Education Foundation, and Zhejiang International Studies University, together with other organizations in the Caribbean that have already participated in or taken an interest in participating in, guiding, and supporting international Chinese language education, have initiated and established the "Caribbean International Chinese Education Community." The establishment of this unique project is not only a milestone in the multilateral cooperation between China and the Caribbean, but also a new chapter in the cultural exchange and educational cooperation between China and the Caribbean. Through the platform of the Community, we are committed to promoting the standardization, normalization and internationalization of Chinese language education in the Caribbean, improving the quality and level of Chinese language education in the region, and cultivating more excellent talents who are proficient in Chinese language and understand Chinese culture. At the same time, the Community will also become an important bridge for cultural exchanges between China and the Caribbean. Through organizing various cultural exchange activities and academic seminars, it will enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the Chinese and Caribbean people, and promote in-depth cooperation between the two sides in the fields of culture, education and economy. As an important member of the Community, the Confucius Institute of Antigua and Barbuda will give full play to its advantages, actively participate in the work of the Community, and contribute to the development of Chinese language education and the prosperity of cultural exchanges in the Caribbean.
