Confucius Institute at the University of Luxembourg
成立时间:
Confucius Institutes are centres for the promotion of Chinese language and culture. The first institutes were set up in 2004 as non-profit organisations. There are currently more than 500 Confucius Institutes in over 140 countries worldwide. In 2016, an agreement between the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) – the Chinese Government department responsible for promotion of Chinese language overseas – and the University of Luxembourg together with Fudan University in Shanghai has led to the establishment of a Confucius Institute at the University of Luxembourg. The Confucius Institute at the University of Luxembourg, which was inaugurated on 19 April 2018, is dedicated to promoting the development of the Chinese language and culture, not only within the University but also across the country, especially at educational, cultural, economic and scientific level. This commitment can be seen as part of a broader approach to further mutual understanding and strengthen bilateral relations between China and Luxembourg.
