The Confucius Institute at Brest State A. S. Pushkin University located in Brest city of Belarus, was jointly established by Anhui University and Brest State A. S. Pushkin University. On May 24, 2019, the Confucius Institute Headquarters, Anhui University and Brest State A. S. Pushkin University signed the tripartite cooperation agreement, which means that the Confucius Institute at Brest State A. S. Pushkin University was formally established. On March 16, 2020, this Confucius Institute was officially operated while the first batch of Chinese learning class started. After that, the unveiling ceremony was held grandly on October 30. The Confucius Institute has a total construction area of 423 square meters, including teacher’s studio, library, multi-functional lecture hall, standard speech room and Chinese classrooms with digital network functions. Since its inception, the Confucius Institute has offered various Chinese language courses, with students covering multiple levels: college, middle school, elementary school, as well as the social adults. In the hopes of promoting the cooperation of Chinese language teaching and cultural communication, the Confucius Institute has cooperated with several high schools in Brest.
