In celebration of the 2025 Global Confucius Institute Day, the Confucius Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology at National University of Lesotho (NUL) successfully hosted a Chinese Culture Film Festival from September 24 to 26 at the university's Isas Auditorium. With the theme "China on Screen, Civilization Through Millennia", the festival combined film artistry with cultural exchange, offering audiences an immersive journey into China's ancient heritage and contemporary development.

Over the three-day event, three carefully selected Chinese films were screened. On September 24, audiences enjoyed the action-filled and engaging film Who Am I. On September 25, My People, My Homeland presented vivid stories of China’s rural revitalization and agricultural development. The festival concluded on September 26 with the historical epic Confucius: The Battle of the Spring and Autumn. To ensure accessibility, all films were shown with both Chinese and English subtitles. The screenings attracted enthusiastic participation from faculty and students, who not only appreciated the artistic value of the films but also gained deeper insights into Chinese culture, social progress, and advances in agricultural science and technology.

Representatives of the Confucius Institute noted that the festival enriched the celebration of Global Confucius Institute Day and created a valuable platform for cultural dialogue between China and Lesotho. Through the lens of cinema, participants were able to experience the continuity and innovation of Chinese civilization, further strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The event was warmly received by the university and marked a significant milestone in promoting multicultural exchange on campus.
