On April 14, 2023, the Confucius Institute at the Middle East Technical University was invited to Kavaklıdere Ortaokulu in Ankara to organize the 'Children's Song Contest on the International Chinese Language Day'. The event was warmly welcomed by students and parents, with nearly 120 students and teachers attending the competition. Köksal Arslan, the principal of the school, expressed his hope for more exchanges and cooperation between the two schools in teaching Chinese and organizing cultural activities.
