Dr. Angeles has served as the Board Chair of the Confucius Institute at Angeles University Foundation in the Philippines since 2010, and President of Angeles University Foundation since 2009.

安吉利斯博士亲自担任红溪礼示大学孔子学院（与福建师范大学共建）理事长，始终关心和支持孔子学院发展。积极推动将中文纳入菲律宾国民教育体系，力主红溪礼示大学开设汉语师范专业。带领孔子学院成为菲教育部汉语教学官方合作伙伴，全面承担菲公立中学中文课程建设、中文师资培养、中文教材编写、中文教学评估等任务。菲政府、社会均高度肯定孔子学院在促进中菲两国教育文化交流、增进人民理解和友谊方面的杰出贡献。

孔子学院先后于2011年、2013年、2017年荣获“先进孔子学院”称号。

Dr. Angeles has personally served as the Board Chair of the Confucius Institute at Angeles University Foundation (co-hosted by Fujian Normal University), providing consistent support for its development. He has actively promoted the inclusion of the Chinese language in public secondary schools in the Philippine national education system and strongly advocated for establishing the Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English and Chinese Language Teaching at Angeles University Foundation. Under his leadership, the Confucius Institute has become the official partner of the Philippine Department of Education in Chinese language education. Currently, the Confucius Institute has been undertaking responsibilities in curriculum development for public secondary schools, local teacher training, textbook compiling, and Chinese language education evaluation. The Philippine government and society alike highly commend the remarkable efforts and contributions of the Confucius Institute in aspects of promoting educational and cultural communication and interaction, enhancing mutual understanding, and fostering friendship among the people of both countries.

The Confucius Institute has been honored with the Confucius Institute of the Year in 2011, 2013, and 2017.
