Business-related Activities
BCIUL is based in an internationally renowned business school and has the full support of the Dean of Business School Professor Peter Moizer, non-executive chairman of BCIUL. The Leeds City Region is the second largest economic zone after London in the UK with plenty of commercial interest in China. These rich resources provide BCIUL with extremely favorable conditions for establishing ties between businesses in the UK and China. 30 China and Business related conferences, meetings and workshops have been organized by BCIUL in collaboration with local business partners since its inauguration in November 2012. Over 1,800 business and academic stakeholders participated in these events. Among these events, the majority are recurring events. Series of events run by BCIUL include Meet the Author, China Forum, Meet the Media, Cl Annual Lecture, Yorkshire and Humber Chinese New Year Dinner, and Chinese government and business missions to Yorkshire. BCIUL is working closely with the local government (Leeds City Council, Leeds Enterprise PartnershiD). the national aovernment (Department of International Trade formerly known as UK Trade and Investment), the China-Britain Business Council and local business leaders in organizing these events and sharing costs and responsibilities. We also provide special teaching service for employees of local law firms, commercial copanies, chambers of Commerce and other insitutions.
