Lately, a number of Confucius Institutes and Confucius Classrooms across the world celebrated the Dragon Boat Festival in different ways. The CI at the University of Abomey-Calavi in Benin organized a Chinese food feast based on “Dragon Boat Festival amid flavors of zongzi.” The CI at Nazi Boni University in Burkina Faso used the theme of “festive celebrations with tasty zongzi bringing good health.” The CI at the University of Burundi held cultural events themed on “five-colored silk threads bring well-being and celebrations enhance bonding.” The CI at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador, the CI at K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University in Kazakhstan, and the Lao National Academy of Politics and Public Administration under the CI at the National University of Laos organized cultural events. The CI at the University of Antananarivo in Madagascar organized cultural events, and its affiliated teaching place at Fianarantsoa held thematic cultural activities. The CI at the University of Nouakchott Al Aasriya in Mauritania organized cultural events. The Confucius Classroom at Traimit Wittayalai High School, Thailand held writing and painting competitions. The Confucius Classroom at Sawang Boriboon Wittaya School in Pattaya, Thailand organized an “immersive Dragon Boat Festival” cultural event. The CI at Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University in Thailand was invited to participate in the activities organized by Peizhi Middle School. The CI at Khon Kaen University in Thailand held cultural events themed on “celebrating the zongzi-flavored Dragon Boat Festival together.” The CI of Maritime Silk Road, Thailand, hosted a competition of making dragon boat models for Luang Por Khoon Technical College. The CI at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand held cultural events themed on “celebrating Dragon Boat Festival with creativity.” The tourism CI at Udayana University in Indonesia held celebratory activities. The CI at Hasanuddin University in Indonesia held cultural events themed on “flavors of zongzi amid all homes.” The CI at Maranatha Christian University in Indonesia organized sachet-making activity at Chinese corner. The CI at the University of Hull in the UK held writing and painting activities for the festival.
