Taichi (Shadow Boxing)
Taichi, a world-class intangible cultural heritage, is traditional Chinese boxing that combines internal and external cultivation, hardness, and softness and integrates various functions such as self-cultivation temperament, physical fitness, fighting, and confrontation.
Taichi is a characteristic cultural brand project vigorously promoted by Anhui Medical University. Since 2013, Taichi has been taught offline to more than 30000 teachers and students and online to more than 18000 people, relying on the Physical Education Department of Anhui Medical University. Professor Yu Qianchun, the lecturer of this course, established the school Taichi team and served as the head coach. He has led the team to participate in a series of national and international Taichi competitions and won many Championships.
This course takes Taichi teaching as the core and combines the knowledge of sports physiology, sports biomechanics, sports training, and other courses. It starts with the fundamental laws of Taichi. It reasonably arranges the teaching content and amount of exercise so that students can love this sport while learning skills and exercising to cultivate their concept of "lifelong sports."
