In May 2015, the Confucius Institute at the University of the Andes had the honor to invite Mo Yan, the Chinese winner of Nobel Prize for Literature, Tie Ning, the chairman of the Chinese Writers Association, the famous writers Ge Fei, Mai Jia, and the literary critic Yan Jingming to give academic lectures at the University of Andes.
